I reconnected with my BFF from high school a couple of weeks ago at a class reunion. We were in each others weddings years ago and are now both grandmas. Since quilting is my passion, the arrival of her two new grandchildren was a perfect opportunity for BABY QUILTS!
The first one, for my friend’s granddaughter Harlow, is made from the adorable Children at Play collection by Sarah Jane for Michael Miller Fabrics. The quilt top is using my “Anna” pattern which frames the adorable prints with solids. I think it’s perfect for a baby girl and hope grandma and baby like it.
I can’t resist adding this photo of MY granddaughter Janelle checking out the elephant print on the bottom of the quilt.
And now for baby boy Rhett – I chose the fabulous collection by Patty Sloniger called Backyard Babies for Michael Miller. This fabric design won a contest on Spoonflower and I fell in love with the bugs in the jars as soon as I saw it. Perfect for a boy. I used my Isabella pattern for this quilt and I love how it turned out in this adorable collection.
Janelle liked this quilt too and was quick to tell me that she LIKES bugs!
So congrats to the proud grandparents and parents and their new additions. I hope you enjoy the quilts!
I am linking up to Amanda Jean at Crazy Mom Quilts Finish it up Friday.
Thanks for checking in!
