Too many projects and too little time! I’m sure we all have the same problem when we are trying to juggle a full time job, family, friends and quilting! I have FOUR projects in the works that I would like to complete by the end of the month!
The first one is my Modern Dresden quilt and this one has shown up frequently in a WIP post. I’m hoping if I keep putting it out there, I might finish it but this one is SCARY! All that negative space – YIKES! I’ve started by quilting 3 of the plates down stitching in the ditch between the blades but this is a BIG quilt and it is bulky in my little machine so I keep putting it aside. Maybe this weekend.
The second one is my friend Wendy’s Echo Quilt. I offered to do the quilting and binding for Wendy as her Christmas gift (think I’m a little slow?)! I completed the spiral quilting but still need to do the binding. If the pattern looks familiar it is Film in the Fridge’s Rectangle Squared that you can find here. Wendy pieced the top and the back and turned it over to me to baste, quilt and bind. I’m hoping to finish it up on Sunday.
The third one is a baby quilt using my Isabella Quilt pattern that you can find here. The top is complete and I’m still debating whether I want to use minky for the back. Not sure how that would be to quilt on my home machine. Here are a couple other quilts done with this pattern.
And the final project in progress that I want to complete this month is another version of my Jaylen’s Wonky Geese pattern. This pattern is also available here. This time I am using a Kaffe Classic Fat Quarter Bundle with a navy shot cotton as the background. The first round of “geese” are done.
This is how the whole quilt looks in another fabric collection.
So now it’s back to work and then at 5 pm I can switch from my computer to my sewing machine to one of these projects. I think the second size of wonky geese is on the agenda for tonight and maybe the borders to complete the top! Busy, busy!
Thanks for checking in. I’m linking up to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.
